The Angels need help at first base, and according to a report by FoxSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal, the two big targets on their list are Jorge Cantu of the Marlins and Adam LaRoche of the Diamondbacks. Power hitters Adam Dunn and Prince Fielder also have come up as names, but their respective teams appear to be asking too much for the Angels to have any interest. Royals infielder Alberto Callaspo, he of the .309 on-base percentage, is also a name the Angels are pursuing. The Halos need help at first after Kendry Morales broke his leg celebrating a walk-off home run earlier in the season. Anaheim is looking for more of a temporary fix at the position until Morales returns next season.
